Catching Up with CorgiPals: Calendar and Coreys and Iggys, OH MY!

Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to my seventh weekly guest spot on The Daily Corgi! I am your host Paige Davis, founder of CorgiPals. As you know, every week I'll be doing a guest post to keep you up to snuff with the goings-on in the CorgiPals world. This week's theme: Calendars and Coreys and Iggys, OH MY!

First, I'd like to remind everyone to vote for their favorites in the 2013 CorgiPals Corgi Lingo Calendar Contest! Voting ends this Saturday night and the winners will be announced on Sunday! Here is our chosen cover photo for this year:

Second, I'd like to introduce you to our newest Helping Paws client. This is Corey!

Yeah. He's derptastic.

This happy-go-lucky boy was abandoned when his previous owners had to move. Luckily, Corgi Mom Janette has a big heart and wouldn't take Corey to the pound even after some folks tried to convince her it wasn't worth the hassle. Corey had fleas, and when he went in for treatment they also found broken teeth and two tumors on his skin. Janette has raised $105 of the $1,083 on her own, but needs help with the rest. That's where we come in! Let's show Corey that people giving up on him is a fluke, not a pattern! Please share and donate if you can!

Finally, I want to do a little spotlight on one of our current clients. Remember Iggy? This senior "wonder dog" is a rescue who traveled from Tennessee to her new home in Florida ... at the age of 14 and a half years old! Iggy had all sorts of issues when she arrived, including ear infections, eye infections, glaucoma, blind in one eye with diminished eye sight in the other, deafness, severe weight loss, arthritis, a bullet in her side, bleeding from her skin, raw open sores, nails so long they cut into her pads, mange and very ...very bad teeth

The odds were stacked against her, but she went from this ...

 ... to THIS!!

Iggy is doing FABULOUS for a girl her age, but she still needs a Helping Paw with her vet bills. As of now she still needs about $1,500 so please spread the word and donate if you can!!

A great example of what rescue can do for a dog!
