Catching Up with CorgiPals: 7 Corgis and an Auction!

Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to my second weekly guest spot on The Daily Corgi! I am your host, Paige Davis, founder of a little company you might know by the name of CorgiPals. As you know, every Wednesday I'll be doing a guest post to keep you up to snuff with the goings-on in the CorgiPals world.

I apologize for the delay this week. As some of you know, my Corgi Dexter Jaymz tore his ACL and needed surgery this week, so I've been a little preoccupied. My amazing friends did a fundraiser to help me pay for his expensive procedure when I found myself in need, as so many of my clients have. To watch our thank you video, click here!

Anyway... on with the show! This week's theme: 7 Corgis and an Auction!

Last week I introduced our first four Corgis in need: Ginny, Kate, Ozzie, and Albus. This week we have three new Corgis in need.

First, I'd like you to meet Richard, the 10 year old borderline fluffy boy who originally hails from New Zealand! He now lives in Wisconsin, where he enjoys herding sheep, playing outside, and hunting for snacks. Unfortunately, at some point the wrong snack found Richard. Click his picture to read his full story and find out how you can help!

This is Richard gettin' his fluff on.

Next up is Corgi Mix Fred. His Corgi Mom Deb contacted me because Fred had lost the use of his hind legs. Deb has limited ability to help Fred, and not only from a financial standpoint. Deb also suffers from MS, so she can't help Fred get around as easily as she'd like. Click Fred's picture to read his full (very sad) story and learn how you can help this sweet boy!

Fred puts on a happy face even when times are tough!

Finally, I'd like to introduce you all to Willow. Willow came to Corgi Mom Judi as a rescue, and the two quickly became the best of friends. In mid-August of this year, Willow started having seizures, and the diagnosis was one that no pet parent ever wants to hear. Willow has lymphoma. She has begun her chemotherapy treatments, but needs help paying the expensive bill. Click on her beautiful picture to read her full story and find out how you can help this amazing girl live a longer life.

How can you say no to those beautiful brown eyes?

And so it comes down to this ... We currently have SEVEN Corgis in need. The total to have them all treated is $20,100. To date we have raised $2,901 of that, leaving a goal of $17,199. This is a lot of money to raise, but I'm VERY confident that we can do it. I'll be putting several plans into action to make this happen:

1st. I've set CorgiPals up with a Pinterest account. This account, paired with Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr will make sharing easier and give our campaigns a wider reach.

2nd. All profits from the CorgiPals Etsy shop and CorgiPals CafePress shop will be donated to these seven babies. This includes the very popular Fleece Corgi Hats and Corgi Key Chains! Custom hats are available at no extra charge, so get yours today and help a Corgi in need!

3rd. I will be running an auction to help raise the remaining $17,199. The auction will be run via Facebook, and bidding will open this Sunday, September 16 at 1pm EST. The auction will run for two weeks and close on Saturday, September 29 at 11:59pm EST. If you would like to donate items to this auction, please send an email to Paige at corgipals@gmail.com with a picture and description of your item(s) including: starting bid, quantity available, and description.

Me and Dexter Jaymz

I think that's all I have for now. Please spread the word for these seven Corgis, and I'll catch you all next week. Until then, hug your healthy fur kids, give them a hug and kiss from me, and CORGI ON!!
